CAMERAS BROOKWOOD is a full line locally owned camera store that opened May 17th, 1977 in Birmingham, Alabama. In February 2008 the store moved to a larger location in Vestavia Hills, a suburb of Birmingham.
Merchandise includes a large selection of traditional 35mm and 120 film as well as a comprehensive selection darkroom supplies, inkjet papers and inks, camera bags, tripods, filters, lighting equipment, accessories, and archival storage supplies.
The in-store Fuji Frontier photo lab produces outstanding photo prints with each file individually color and density corrected. Epson wide ink jet printers produce economical poster prints and gallery grade, color matched ink jet exhibition prints.
Photo and ink jet prints can be ordered online through the online shopping service or with software downloaded from the primary website.
Among services offered are a Newsletter, various classes, one-on-one workshops, camera repair, sensor cleaning, photo restoration, black & white film processing and scanning services.
